The cover carries the design. It is a low pile of recycled PET, short enough to clear most doors. Under it, a natural rubber pad holds the rug on hardwood, tile and laminate.
When something spills, lift the cover off and machine wash it cold on a gentle cycle. Dry it flat, lay it back, and the room looks the way it did the day it arrived. The pad stays on the floor.
